Piano and Voice Lessons
Teaching Philosophy
Chris Anderson believes in inspiring her students by helping them develop their innate gifts and by assisting them in reaching their goals. She sees each student as a unique individual with different objectives and constructs individualized lesson plans that are crafted to maximize musical growth and to boost self-confidence. Through specialized one-on-one attention, Chris is committed to helping each student become a confident and capable musician.
Method
The student's level will be determined at the first lesson in order to develope a course of study that will both match the student's current ability and guide them towards their goals. Typically, piano students will work from the Faber and Faber Method, which includes music encompassing a variety of styles (classical, folk, jazz, etc.)
Lessons
Lessons are held weekly. Lessons are 30 minutes or 1 hour. The scheduled lesson day and time will remain the same from week to week (rescheduling options will be available). Pricing and availability upon request.
Commitment
It is important for students to understand that the study of music requires a commitment of time and energy. For optimal progress, students should practice a minimum of 20-30 minutes a day. If you or your child have made the decision to begin lessons, it would be beneficial to commit to at least one full year of study.
